Oh Faon
Marseille

Best - ever - vegan patisserie - no words to describe these beautiful delicacies which are a feast to the eye and melt in your mouth! As one of the 2 owners said:" We try to compete with conventional patisserie so we want it to look and feel the same".
I am totally addicted to their chocolate creations, especially with hazelnut and crocant. But their mango dome also super delish, as is the green tea slice.
Best to try it yourself when you are in Marseille!
Oh Faon! 13006 Marseille, 6 rue Edmond Rostand

LA BAIE DU DRAGON
Marseille

What an unexpected discovery! In randomly looking up restaurants around cours Julien, the new hip & trendy "quartier " in Marseille we came across this place. Recommended for its delicious Vietnamese food in general we were extremely and pleasantly surprised to discover that the owner is vegan!
And with 2 entire (!) pages of vegan dishes, not just options!
This kind gentleman is fully committed to veganism but as with all converts has to deal with meat issues as to not alienate his customers which is unfortunate and breaks his own heart
He advised us on his lovely food offerings, on his locally made tofu, on his locally made fruit juice, et voilà served us some amazing starters and main dishes!
There is a lunchtime "branch" next door =, L'Usyne, run by his vegan daughter who also makes vegan patisserie so watch this space for another review next time I visit Marseille!
La Baie du Dragon - 13006 Marseille, 18, place Notre Dame du Mort

Mama Gaïa
Vence

I  had read rave reviews about Mama Gaïa and their famous cheesecake so on my birthday weekend end of September I simply had to stop by and have lunch. Fortunately they are open all day so a late lunch on a hot late-September day was not a problem.
Greeted kindly by a lovely lady, the owner, and all members of staff, some of which were enjoying their own late lunch or dessert at a nearby table - absolutely charming!
I skipped the starter (yummy sounding typical "pannais") to leave room for their famous cheesecake 🎈
The Buddha bowl was so delicious and filling with avocado, sweet potato, figs and lots of other yummy ingredients that was very full... but hey, any excuse to come back!
In the winter they will be open in the evenings for 100% vegan dinners 💪

Mama Gaïa - 06140 Vence, Place Godeau

Amour patisserie
Nice

I finally made it to "Amour patisserie végétale", one of the newer vegan patisseries on the Côte d'Azur.
An airy, modern place which exudes warmth, and passion. The patisserie chef who also served me was so kind and helpful and forthcoming with the recipe it was a sheer delight to listen to her talk about her creations!
I chose a light hazelnut delight with a chocolate ganache on a bed of a biscuit crumble 😊
And everything is vegan AND gluten-free so... good for ya, right ?! ☺
Can't wait to try them for their brunch!

o'resto
Quinson

Marion, the owner and chef of this small restaurant, is very passionate about her food and makes sure that there are no animal ingredients in her fried vegetable (so yum), the black-olive tapenade, the salads she serves as a side dish
This vegan burger burger végétalien is absolutely delicious with grilled aubergines, black olive tapenade (without anchovies) and basil pesto (without cheese)
Make sure to mention "sans frites" (without French fries), and you will get the most beautiful and colorful plate with all kinds of beautifully prepared vegetables items which will make the omnivores wish they had ordered the same!
O'resto - 04500 Quinson, route de Riez
open April through October, in the winter for special occasions

I came across this blog of Lisa whilst scrolling to find classy restaurants serving beautiful food in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. This place in particular - L'Auberge Saint Rémy - has piqued my interest, and it is definitely on my list of "places to eat at" next summer!
